So, I was walking down the streets of design websites looking for something fishy yet clingy trying to discover what's so trendy in 2022 as I was preparing for some job interviews and I came across a list of almost 11 unique design styles which felt needed some more spotlight and fame.
I have focused on Mysticism and Punk Revival as significant investments for this article.

Mysticism

Ever tried watching the night sky, excited to catch a glimpse of your favorite constellation/s’? Or maybe are you a core believer in zodiacs throughout your conscious activities? Or maybe you feel divinity energy all around you?
This trend deals with Iconography relying heavily on symbolism, sacred geometry, and zodiacs to name a few. These designs carry a deep meaning and occult strength powered by past talismans.

I go by the name of GEMINI and thus I have empowered myself to create something out of the right side of the brain(creative).

Punk Revival

This is the meta of the 1920s, and like most of the things being recreated in 2022 Punk revival also made its latent presence in the latest(2023). That anger, frustration, passion, and appeal against society and government which never faded away is the core of this trend.

I think the reason for it retrieving itself is because of failing & falling world order and systems. Mostly standing up for oneself with legit fire in the eyes has never mattered more than ever.

There were so many ways to approach this idea like war, music, LGBTQ, politics, etc just to name a few. I have taken a route of fashion for this appeal and tried mixing up the culture with modernity giving it a vibrant vibe. Why fashion? Well because it's such a fad and as 2023 just started, most of the designs are connecting backward.

Whenever I think of retrieving design styles or patterns, I often get the quote by Steve Jobs in my subconscious -

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.

Thanks for your time. Hope you enjoyed reading this and also the illustrations.

Will be back with more trending designs for 2023 in part 2 of the series.

Do let me know your opinions. Thanks again!

And if this helped you in any way, maybe motivated or inspire you kindly feel free to donate.

Have a nice day, evening, and night folks! Smile, Stay positive, and keep creating. See you soon :)
